I totally understand the feeling that the real world is falling short of beloved books worlds -- especially such worlds as Anne of Green Gables or Little House on the Prairie. I actually didn't read these books as a child -- I was more interested in Harry Potter and Nancy Drew. I came to them as an adult during lockdown and found such a fount of coziness and comfort that I feel like I almost have reverse nostalgia for the time in my childhood when I would have read them. The Anne books in particular bring me so much comfort I listen to them every night to fall asleep. I loved this song and the idea of a woman wedding herself to the land she worships!
Isabelle, I’m so glad you discovered these older childhood books during lockdown. I started listening to Anne of Green Gables again last week because you reminded me of that book!
HI Robin! I am so happy to hear that. It seems like a song that would respond well to the dulcimer. I've just sent out a download of the song to paid subscribers, so that should be arriving in your inbox. That way you can save it and play along if you wish. Lots of smiles to you! Jeni
Yes, it would go well with mountain dulcimer and voice! I'm not sure how it came to be yet I already have the file of Ohio and have listened to it several times. <3 Thanks, Jeni!
emotional support chicken is absolutely adorable! speaking of adorable, birthday cake jeni and older jeni, yup! my favorite piece of the song…” Some day I’ll meet my one true love – I’ll meet him in the sky. ‘Til he comes to take me home, Ohio, I’ll be your bride.” fantastic! many thanks jeni! 👌🏻🫶🏻

Ah!! I now have some memory of sending it directly to you once because it is about Ohio! I’m so pleased you like it!
This was a beautiful way for me & the girls to enjoy a picnic, with your songbird voice as accompany. Xoxo
Oh!! Huge love to you ♥️ I love what you’re doing at the library ♥️
Much appreciated my #girlcrush!
You’re very welcome. Nice way to star my day, albeit a tad early @ 430 am! 😉
SB says you might need a nap later! He’s always happy about naps!
