Days when nearly all roads were gravel, and Interstate Highways were nonexistent and climbing on a box to get to the wall phone and crank it then hear Sadie Reese (operator) say "who you wanna talk to Daniel "? Rich people had runnin water ! There were NO SNOW DAYS. Busses just put on chains. Fording the 3 creeks to get to town. Couldn't when it rained much.
These are some memories you cause me to think about when I hear you, or from you ! Thanks Jeni for being a friend thru all our changes. I'm building guitar #5 ! Its nearly done
Thank you so much!!!! My Aunt Hazel helped raise my brother and I during the 50's when my mom was bedridden. Hazel was also a redhead fireball, never met a speed limit she obeyed. I held her hand in the hospital in texas when she died. You would have loved here, she was a real pistol. Love you, I'm old enough to see the light now, will never forget you!!!!! Dr. Buddy
Oh how I loved this. Your voice is beautiful…and thank you for the reminder of my first encounter with jello+pineapple+cottagecheese “salad” in 1967. I may have to write about that 😉
