This is such a poignant testament to both you aunt Katherine and your Mawmaw. When I look at the photos you've shared and your description of the family home, I completely understand why you would want to stay!

I'm a bit late to the party (your email somehow slipped under a pile of leaves)...this is beautiful. Bless.

You’re really lucky to still be able to go to your grandmother’s home, Jeni. That’s so special! One set of my WV grandparents’ home burned down, the other was torn down in a “renewal” project. There’s such a painful blank space in my heart whenever I happen to drive down those streets. Something so vital yet undefinable is gone. Loved reading this!❤️

That's sad about your family homes. It's really hard when those physical spaces disappear. I felt this with the family cabin falling down. I wish I could have done more to save it. Huge hugs to you, Carol!

I'm glad we're walking together, you, me, SB, cool lady Pam, the Englishman, and all of our pals. Our picnic is going to be stellar.
